And here's a close-up of the completed strap, all ready for The Wizard to cut the leather ends and shoulder pad. This pattern (Ram's Head) came from Cardweaving by Candace Crockett. The thread is 10/2 cotton from Halcyon Yarn. It's finer than I thought it would be, but I love the results. Click the picture for a closer view.
